a comprehensive guide on strategic planning

Many books on Strategic Management try to include every aspect and become thick and heavy. This book focuses on an easy to understand process, down to the point. It guides you through the different steps from external and internal analysis to developing your core competencies and understanding and key factors of success in the industry. Most strategic plans focus on single business strategies. So does this book. I include this book in the teaching materials in my MBA courses on Strategic Management. The software is a convenient tool for all who are planning strategies. I can only recommend this 2nd edition of a popular book which was sold out for several years.

About the Author
Ann Miles Gordon has been an early childhood professional for more than 45 years as a teacher of young children, a teacher of parents, and a teacher of college students. She has taught in laboratory schools, church-related centers, and private and public preschool and kindergarten programs. Ann taught at the Bing Nursery School, the laboratory school for Stanford University's Department of Psychology, where she was a head teacher and lecturer in the Psychology Department. Ann also served as an adjunct faculty member in several community colleges, teaching the full gamut of early childhood courses. Ann served as executive director of the National Association of Episcopal Schools for 14 years, where more than 1,100 early childhood programs were a part of her network. Ann is semi-retired and a hands-on grandmother of two, through which she brings an enhanced perspective on center-based care and early elementary grades.

Kathryn Williams Browne has been teaching children, families, and students for more than 30 years. First a teacher of young children--in nursery school, parent cooperatives, full-day child care, pre-kindergarten, bilingual pre-school, kindergarten, and first grade--she moved to Stanford University's lab school, where she served as head teacher and psychology lecturer. Co-authoring with Ann Miles Gordon was enhanced by Kate's role as a parent, while her consultant and school board experience offered perspectives on public policy and reform. Kate teaches in the California Community College system and Early Childhood Mentor program, which offer the richness of a diverse student population coupled with the challenges of access and privilege that parallel those in the early education field itself.

Vinay Mehta primarily works as an engineer, but has an equally passionate hobby for history, languages and scripts. The latter interests have been an apt fit for studying the last non-Muslim Kings of Sind, for theirs was a story that unfolded at the crossroads of cultures, leaving behind scattered imprints that were transmitted in fragments via diverse languages including Farsi, Urdu and Hindi. A graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, Vinay lives with his wife and two children in Atlanta, GA.

Very enjoyable

I have gone through this wonderful book. It is an eye opener into the glorious past in Indian history. This is a very well documented description and brings out very factual, detailed and interesting historical, geographical and social aspects of India's past. The presentation is like a novel and once I started reading I could not stop in the middle. This is a really really enjoyable book and I wish the author produces more such books.

A joy to read - an excellent and well-narrated account that kept me glued to the book. I could not put it down until I had finished reading it! It's a rare and fascinating insight into a piece of India's past that I was not familiar with until this book came along.

An enchanting journey through the echoes!

The author has taken painstaking effort to unfold this very interesting and inspiring story in front of us. I wish the the history books in schools back in India could atleast touch these glorious parts of our history as well. All we hear are the stories of the British Empire and the Mughal Kings and their might but we do have some amazing history before that as well and I was very glad to learn about it.

The narration is great and writing lucid; I started reading it and could visualize the things as I was reading and to me that is the greatest thing an author can do; create a picture in front of your eyes and take you for an enchanting journey.

Finally!! A must read for anyone searching for smart poetry that is relatable!!

This poetry collection is exactly what I have been searching for. I don’t fancy myself to be a one dimensional person, so I've grown tired of the same-old-same-old poetry collection: one focus, one voice, one theme. “3:17 a.m.,” however, is just the opposite of collections of perfunctory poetry. It contains poems that made me cry, laugh, and curse society. Robert Scott has views on life that are fresh and witty; I couldn’t put the book down. This is one collection you’re going to want to buy multiple copies of, so you can keep one by your bedside table, inside your glove compartment, and on top of your desk at work.
